Frequently asked questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my consultation in person?

Our initial consultations are typically conducted over the phone for your convenience. However, we understand that some matters are better discussed face-to-face. In-person consultations are available upon request, simply call our office to check availability and schedule a time that works for you.

How much can I expect to pay?

Legal fees vary depending on the complexity of your case. Factors such as the amount of time required, the type of legal documents involved, and the overall scope of work all play a role in determining costs. During your consultation, we’ll provide a clearer understanding of potential fees based on your specific needs. While we’re unfortunately not able to provide pricing on this website, we’re more than happy to discuss your specific legal goals and costs associated with your desired outcomes.

How often can I talk with the attorney?

We believe clear and consistent communication is key. Our team works hard to keep clients informed throughout every step of their case. If you ever feel the need for more direct contact, simply call our office we’re happy to schedule a time for you to speak with your attorney and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Do you only practice Family or Employment Law?

While Attorney McLawhorn primarily focuses on family law, employment law, and civil litigation, his diverse background gives him insight into a wide range of legal matters. If you have a case outside of these core areas, we still encourage you to complete one of our intake forms. Attorney McLawhorn will review your information to see how we can help or connect you with someone who can.

Who can and can’t offer me legal advice

Only a licensed attorney can provide legal advice. While our staff members are knowledgeable and involved in the progress of your case, they are not authorized to give legal guidance. For any legal questions or decisions, you will need to speak directly with Attorney McLawhorn or another licensed attorney on our team.
